    This person will assist in various activities in the accounting department of the company with specific responsibilities for payroll. The payroll responsibilities will include tasks such as entering payroll information and managing detail through the company’s payroll service provider, calculating wages and managing all tasks associated with the semi-monthly payroll processing. This individual will be experienced in entering

data with a high attention to detail and will have strong data and math skills to make the necessary calculations.

Collect, compile and update payroll records by recording changes including insurance coverage, loan payments, salary increases, etc.  Oversee and ensure payroll precision – Limit discrepancies by analyzing information and ensuring accuracy. Reconcile employee deductions; manage and calculate taxes and deduction. Process new employees, terminations, transfers and promotions.  Develop, manage and maintain comprehensive payroll records. Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations and established procedures

Complete requests for pay-related documents including statements and verifications.  Complete other projects, tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Support and work in other areas within the accounting department in preparing reconciliations and accounting projects.  Must know A/P, A/R, G/L and Payroll and be able to develop and rebuild process should everything go do.  Multi-state and International payroll a big plus.

Requirements: 3+ years of experience in payroll processing with a strong understanding of general accounting principles. Experience with third party payroll processors for large employer payrolls. Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality. Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations related to payroll. Demonstrates capability to collaborate and execute tasks. Self-starter, highly motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

     Currently using VIBE and going to ADP in Jan 2019.  400 employee/SLC; 800 company-wide. All US. Also must be sensitive to Costa Rica and the UK business but not included in payroll.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field is highly preferred. Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
