Human Resource Manager
This company is one of the largest agribusiness conglomerates in Southern Idaho and has been in business for over 30 years. Recent investments, focusing on automation, inventory controls and promoting healthy work environments have led to an aggressive growth phase.  We are seeking a strategic, experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and further develop all aspects of HR.
 
Overview
In this role, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the overall HR policies and procedures in accordance with local and federal laws while supporting business goals and objectives.  In this role you may assist in all or some of the following areas; recruiting, new hire onboarding, salary administration, performance management, employee recognition/rewards programs, training & development, benefits planning and administration, employee relations, legal and compliance, safety, and workers’ compensation as well as Plan, direct, and coordinate the administrative functions of this organization and its affiliated partners and serve as a link between an organization’s management and its employees.

  • Meet with Safety committees on a quarterly basis or more as needed.
  • Serve as the company representative in termination hearings/reviews 
  • Conducts new hire on-boarding and early engagement for all new employees
  • Recruit and interview new talent as needed.
  • Serve as an advisor for human resources issues to leadership and employees
  • Strong bilingual Spanish communication skills, with the ability to articulate and advise complicated matters using professional business terminology as well as conversational relationship building.
  • Find innovative ways to recruit and retain new talent
  • In collaboration with accounting department, advise employees on benefits and pay issues
  • Familiarity with the H-2A and similar employment programs.
  • Assist Sr. Management in the selection of legal representation, HR consultants, insurance providers, employee benefits programs, training specialists and other assistance providers as needed.
  • Provides management with human Resource related information reports
  • Manage company-wide committees including any wellness, training, environmental health and safety, activity, culture and communication committees.
  • Works with individual in charge of payroll regarding pay, absences, and time reporting matters
  • Provides direction to employees on all human resource related policies and procedures 
  • Work with workers compensation providers for each company to proactively minimize insurance premium costs and reinforce a safe healthy working environment.
  • Domestic Travel as needed.
  • Conducts human resource audits and risk assessments
  • Handle and resolve employee conflicts
 
Requirements
  • Bilingual Spanish – Must have solid business fluency
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or other business-related degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources.
