Job Summary

The Data Analytics Director is responsible for envisioning the strategy for and directing of the work of the Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, Document Management, and Information Governance functions for the company.  This includes:

  • Managing the business intelligence and data analytics architecture and services provided by the IT department.
  • Improving vital business information systems designed for data-driven decision-making
  • Ensuring organizational decision-making is data driven and facilitated by data analytics tools, reports, and dashboards


This person is responsible for building and directing a high-performing team of 12 direct reports that:

  • drives the organization toward data management excellence
  • identifies and communicates key metrics and critical data analyses
  • manages effective systems for records management, data warehousing, and data governance

Education, Experience, and Skills We Are Seeking


Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree. 7-10 years of professional experience in a senior role, managing in a business environment. 7-10 years of professional experience managing in a technology-focused team.



  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are obtained
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to analyze complex situations, learn quickly and synthesize corresponding solutions, options and action plans
  • Extensive experience in problem resolution within a technology organization
  • Demonstrated ability to drive improvements and deliver new and innovative solutions
  • Understanding of current technologies for computing, business support, business intelligence, data analytics, data warehousing, records management, and data/information governance.



  • Ability to successfully cultivate and manage professional relationships with all levels of employees
  • Ability to influence the organizational cultures toward improved continual service improvement
  • Ability to work well under stressful situations, including peak workloads associated with business cycles
  • Proven ability to manage by influence and facilitate collaboration
  • High creativity with proven ability to be accountable for performance while receiving limited oversight
  • Strong business management skills


NOTE: This position is a high visibility position with significant influence. This position requires someone willing and able to stand up for the requirements of the position in the face of opposition – and able to do so diplomatically.

This position requires the ability to:

  • Resolve conflicts among parties who have significant vested interest in their organizations’ technical structures and operation, including their business and service management processes
  • Harmonize organizational conflicts
  • Communicate technology terminology clearly to customers of significantly varying technical skill/knowledge
