Sales/Account Manager – Colorado/Wyoming
Position is based in region (preferably southern WY/northern Colorado within 2 hrs of Green River, WY) Working from home is a must - no fixed facility in region
Reports to: Sales Manager, West US & Mexico
Compensation - $70-100k/yr base, 1% commission on all sales in territory.
Territory includes a significant base of preexisting customers, plus large potential for developing new customers.  $5-7m estimated territory potential Primary duties:
  • Drive sales of pumps, parts, and machinery repairs at key accounts across the territory listed below
  • Effectively address the needs of legacy customers, as well as opening new accounts as directed
  • Track progress in gaining market share using a key account system
  • Forecast anticipated revenue, including amounts and due dates
  • Assist in preparing quotes and tracking work as it moves through the shop 
  • Present quotes to customers, negotiate delivery, specifications as required
Sales territory covered includes the following areas:
  • Wyoming (up to and including whole state)
  • Colorado (up to and including whole state)
Primary industries served:
  • Trona/soda ash
  • Mining (including coal & aggregates)
  • Oil & gas
  • Power generation
  • Water & wastewater
  • Metals (steel)
  • Pulp & paper
  • General industry
  • Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industrial equipment sales experience required
  • Strong preference for oil & gas, mining, metals, or power generation sales in the area described above
  • Strong preference for rehirable former employees of Tronox/Genisys, Tata/General Chemical, Solvay, Ciner/OCI 
Experience with maintenance or operation of at least one of the following:
  • Slurry pumps
  • ANSI pumps
  • Vertical turbine pumps
  • Pusher and/or scroll type centrifuges
  • Kilns and/or calciners
  • Gear reducers 
  • Good computer skills
  • Email, MS Office required
  • Global Shop ERP system preferred 
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills required - internal and external customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to track multiple projects, tasks, priorities and due dates
  • Ability to work effectively while traveling
  • Valid driver's license
