Major Purpose:
Cultivate and build a true partnership with executives and hiring teams to develop an optimal recruiting strategy for each role and for the Company overall.  Works directly with HR colleagues and business leaders to understand business priorities, hiring volumes, sourcing strategies and the implications for talent acquisition.  Responsible for managing a recruitment team and a portfolio of internal hiring teams.
 
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
  • Lead talent acquisition by developing and enhancing strategies to ensure successful delivery of talent acquisition services, while supporting the overall strategic goals of the organization.
  • Become a trusted advisor to the business by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with senior management and employees and knowing the business inside and out.
  • Develop and manage cost-effective employer branding and innovative candidate sourcing strategies. 
  • In coordination with Marketing, maintain accurate and useful social media presence, including Company branding, profiles and information on Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Network and build strong pipelines by nurturing relationships with candidates.
  • Manage applicant tracking system, maximizing its full capability and automation to reduce or eliminate low value tasks.  Responsible for database management and metrics.
  • Maintain content and delivery of the “Hire Right” training for managers. Educate hiring teams on the Hire Right process, and apply its principles consistently throughout the organization
  • Stay apprised of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting talent acquisition practices and procedures
  • Travel to relevant operations sites on a regular basis to network with hiring managers, meet and greet key local contacts, attend job fairs, and otherwise network within the industry.
  • Coordinate and oversee highly effective onboarding and integration of new Team Members during acquisitions.  Strategically plans and executes to maintain employee satisfaction and engagement during the transition, and to prevent related turnover.  
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to the talent team
 
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Experienced in developing and managing aggressive, proactive recruiting programs for hard-to-fill positions in a high growth organization
  • Recent experience recruiting in multiple discipline areas and levels, including hiring for nonexempt, exempt, industrial and transportation roles, and leadership positions
  • Previous experience in capturing metrics, dash boarding and producing various recruitment reports
  • Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, job postings, employee referrals, interviewing, job offers, background screening, drug and alcohol testing
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with impeccable composition and grammar skills
  • Proficient in applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Must be able to successfully pass a post-offer background screening, which will include a drug test
 
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required
  • PHR, SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • 10 years of experience in full-cycle corporate recruitment, including experience with leading a team
  • 3 years of experience with configuring and maximizing ATS and HRIS tools
  • Skilled in managing departmental budgets
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions preferred
  • Multi-lingual a plus, particularly Spanish. 
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (“TWIC”)
  • Overnight travel by airplane and personal vehicle is required, ~25%
