The Director of Curriculum – Teachers College provides leadership and vision to the ongoing design, development, and evaluation of the programs within the Teachers College.  The Director brings innovation and future-thinking to transform Teachers College programs to be relevant and engaging student experiences. This individual relies heavily on student engagement and performance data as well as student, faculty, and employer feedback to measure and monitor the effectiveness of courses, learning resources, and assessments performance and creates strategies for improvement. The Director of Curriculum, in concert with the curriculum program managers, uses data to ensure the overall health and quality of curriculum in the Teachers College portfolio. The Director ensures that all Teachers College programs meet relevant accreditation standards.  In collaboration with the VP of Program Development, the Curriculum Director peers and other stakeholders, the successful candidate will lead continuous improvement efforts that improve student outcomes. The Director of Curriculum directly manages curriculum program managers, instructional designers, and learning resource specialists, and closely partners with other staff within the Program Development department.  This individual is accountable for the on-time delivery of high-quality courses and initiatives. The Director collaborates with Councils, National Directors, assessment staff, marketing staff, and other university stakeholders to constantly monitor and react to market demand and workforce needs. Director of Curriculum – Teachers College reports to the VP of Program Development.

Required Experience

•5+ years in developing online education that is relevant, engaging, and available across multiple platforms

•5+ years of experience with training/education online product development as a product owner

•5+ years of leadership experience

•Experience in teacher preparation, required

•Experience with accreditation standards, required

•Experience in higher education, preferred

•Successful experience in relationship management across a range of partners

•Successful experience in developing and managing effective teams

•Expert in developing curriculum, managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting schedules and budgets, and producing quality courses and programs

•PhD strongly preferred.

•Ability to travel 15-20%.
